So, it’s been a week since I have been to crossfit.  I got back from my trip to northwest late Tuesday night, and I needed a day to recover, then was just too swamped to go yesterday.  So today it was.  I wasn’t terribly excited about coming back after a week to Fran, mainly because thrusters are probably my least favorite lift.

My form started to break down at times in my thrusters, knees bowing in a little, but I also got some good reps in.  I may need to lessen the weight a little the next time I do them.  And pullups were a little more difficult today than last week.  I guess I weakened over the past 6 days ;)  No rips today, but Frannie left me with a nasty little blood blister…..

Over my vacay, I did a good bit of walking a couple of days.  Pullman is super hilly.  I took two long walks of a couple of miles or so each that both involved some hills so long and steep that I had to take breaks.  I’m sure the altitude played into it some as well.  In general, though, I rested and enjoyed the break from the 100-deg Dallas weather.

I’ve also decided I will probably never take another flight without a lumbar pillow!  After the DLs last Friday and my regular back pain on occasion, I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever when I used the pillow.  Packing it was a bit of an annoyance, but it was worth it :)
